During my  trip to to Santorini I was one day in Kamari. It is a tourist destination on the south east coast consisting only of hotels and restaurants. There is no old town or similar. But there is a long beach with black pebbles of volcanic stone. A little off there is also a quiet place without bars and parasols. Kamari is at the airport so the planes fly low over near kamari.

The water quality is not as good and the stony beach is not comfortable to stay for longer. The mountain Profitis separates the south of Kamari and Perissa is nice to look at. Overall, a place for people who like bars and beach and for those who don’t want to pay the extreme prices in Thira and Oia.
