Leica SL and the Noctilux 0.95/50mm
This year I replaced my M240 with the Leica SL. Most of the time I use the Vario 24-90mm lens which is just great. For low light and bokeh I use the Summilux M 35mm FLE, which is also a great match. At my last holiday I took my Noctilux to see how it works on the Leica SL. With the Leica SL the Noctilux is easy to use because of the great EVF. I can focus easily even without focus peaking. With the fast shutter of the Leica SL I can use the Noctilux without a ND-Filter which is good.
The colors are a bit cold for my eyes. On the M the colors are more vibrant. Anyways, the overall look is typical Noctilux which is great. I used the Noctilux just for a few shots because the Vario is more flexible and the quality is just amazing. The main reason why I use the Noctilux is the special look wide open. It can create images which are unique.

Street photography in Santorini Thira
The view into the caldera is really fascinating. Unfortunately, the island is totally in the hand of tourism. The main town Thira is more like a shopping center than a typical Greek place.
I had the opportunity to spend two days on Santorini, including a day in Thira. Since this island has already been photographed entirely by catalog photographer, it makes no sense to make more romantic Caldera photos. Instead, it was a good chance to walk around and to make some street photos.
All pictures were taken with the Leica M with the Summilux 35 FLE and the Tri-Elmar 16mm.
Naxos Maragas and Agia Anna
Here are some impressions made with a Leica M240 and the Noctilux f 0.95.
Chalkio and Apeiranthos at Naxos
From the fire station turn left into the small street. At the end is a small place from where you can start going to the village Moni in the mountains. 10 km away from Chalkio is Apeiranthos, a nice mountain village with a view to the biggest mointain Zas.
The water quality is not as good and the stony beach is not comfortable to stay for longer. The mountain Profitis separates the south of Kamari and Perissa is nice to look at. Overall, a place for people who like bars and beach and for those who don’t want to pay the extreme prices in Thira and Oia.
All pictures were made by a Leica M 240 and the Summilux 35 FLE and the Noctilux.
